Staffordshire Community Energy (SCE)
Staffordshire Community Energy Limited is a community benefit society run entirely by volunteers, and in 2011 and 2016 it raised the funds through two community share issues for two separate projects, which consisted of commissioning the installation of PV panels on a number of community and hospital buildings in Staffordshire. The organisations using the buildings benefit from free or reduced-price electricity when the panels are generating, and as a non-profit organisation, SCE make available for community benefit any financial surpluses not required for development of the Society or projects. Do get in touch if you would like to get involved or know of projects that might benefit.
